Dor Chadash is a group of supportive, fun families who believe in getting children integrated into synagogue life early. Through amazing social and religious activities, we get little ones excited about Jewish home life, holidays and community work. Whether it's through our welcoming High Holy Days services or our uber-casual
Erev Shabbat programs, Dor Chadash brings together young families who bond over the beautiful – and at times challenging - efforts of creating a Jewish life for young children, toddlers and babies. We host incredible, music-filled (and free!) parties that will get little Yiddish tushies dancing. We also organize age-appropriate community service programs and a few events just for the grown-ups, including a thought-provoking speaker series for parents.

Dor Chadash is a great way to make a large synagogue feel like a small community.
We welcome all families with young children, so come introduce yourself at one of our upcoming events!

For more information, please email dchadash@gmail.com or call 310-481-3296.

You and your pint-sized posse can also join us every month to celebrate Shabbat:

First Friday of Every Month (April - September):

Shabbat in the ParkShabbat in the Park, 5:45 p.m., at Holmby Park
Bring your own kosher-style picnic dinner and welcome Shabbat amid friends, family and monkey bars!

Shabbat in the Park:
Pack a picnic basket and join our fun and casual family-friendly Friday evening services. We'll supply the challah and grape juice, Dale will bring the tunes. All you need are some fun-seeking kids, a blanket and your own picnic dinner (kosher-style, please.) We meet at Holmby Park at 5:45 p.m., the first Friday of every month from April - September. Children, parents, grandparents, friends – even well-behaved puppies – can join together to usher in Shabbat amid the trees
and swingsets!

First Friday of Every Month (October - March):

Jammies 'N' Jeans Shabbat, 5:45 p.m., in Gold Hall
Slip on a pair of jeans and dress your kids in their PJ's -- to shul! A light dinner provided to those who RSVP.

Jammies 'N' Jeans Shabbat
Cozy up with your family on a blanket as we welcome Shabbat in a warm, kid-friendly Friday evening service. Kids love padding about in their PJs as they say the brachot with Dale and our rabbis, and you'll love not having to cook! A light kid-friendly dinner is provided, free of charge to all who RSVP. So slip on your jeans and get your kids in their feeties for our unique Shabbat experience. We meet at 5:45 p.m. the first Friday of every month from October – March.

Third Saturday of Every Month:
