Greetings Fellow Congregants:

On behalf of myself and the Men’s Club Executive Committee, I would like to wish you and your loved ones a happy Hanukkah; may you be blessed with good health, joy and the best things in life.

This year, the Men’s Club is holding a special Hanukkah celebration at its December 4th meeting. This event is open to the entire community and we invite all Sinai Temple members to join us and get know the Men’s Club and our members.

On October 10th, Mr. James Turken spoke to the Men’s Club in detail about the multi-million dollar jury verdict he had obtained against the Shangri-La Hotel in Santa Monica, and it’s owner Tehmina Adaya, for illegally discriminating against the local chapter of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces (FIDF). Mr. Turken talked about how the hotel, at the direction of Ms. Adaya, had shut down the party immediately after realizing it was sponsored by a Jewish organization. Mr. Turken and his legal team had spent countless hours in preparing the case, taking and defending depositions and going to trial. We thank Mr. Turken for everything he has done on this case and for our community.

On November 7, the Men’s Club had the pleasure of hosting Mr. Gary Dalin. Mr. Dalin’s topic was In The War Of Words Against Israel, How To Understand And Deflect Their Most Potent Weapon: Islamic English. Furthermore, the Men’s Club also had the opportunity to honor Mr. Abraham Zarem. Mr. Zarem was awarded a life-time membership in honor of his devotion to Judaism, Sinai Temple and his recognition that ritual, properly performed, is a key to preserving our Jewish and American heritage.

We encourage and welcome new members to join Sinai Temple Men’s Club. You can view our list of activities or become a member by visiting our website at sinaitemple.org/mensclub.

Shervin Behnam,
President

We make a point of getting to know each other and welcome all to Sinai Temple.

Sinai Temple is a partnership between its clergy, staff, lay leaders and devoted members who are committed to supporting the tradition and vision of Sinai Temple. Your gift to Sinai Temple will enable us to continue these holy tasks for years to come. Thank you for helping us to bring our history, our beliefs and our promise to a new generation.
We are a member of the Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs. We aim to provide a framework within which men can broaden their knowledge and understanding of the history and values of our people and in which they can make tangible contributions of their talents and treasure in an environment of good fellowship.
Our goal at Sinai Temple is to create a Bar/Bat Mitzvah program that is a spiritual and religious experience counseling child and family to God, the Jewish people and to each other.
The Sinai Temple Israel Center is the first synagogue center that provides programmatic resources and avenues for Los Angeles Jewry to establish cultural, professional, spiritual, and economic ties to the land of Israel.
Sinai Temple's 20's & 30's Community
