Find out about our Evening Services
Sinai Temple is proud to offer a selection of warm, participatory religious services. Whether it be for Friday Night Shabbat, Friday Night Live or One of our Youth Shabbat services we all come together to pray, learn and be inspired with the wisdom and power of Judaism.
Friday Night Service
The Friday night service begins at 5:45 pm and concludes by 6:45 pm. It is marked by music, song, and a brief drasha -- a talk by the presiding Rabbi. It is a perfect way to mark the transition from the workweek to the Sabbath, and we hope that you will join us.
MUSICAL KABBALAT SHABBAT
4th Friday of the month
On the fourth Friday of every month Cantor Marcus Feldman leads Sinai Temple's
Friday evening Musical Kabbalat Shabbat services alongside our rabbis and our
organist Aryell Cohen. Please join us for what promises to be a musical
and spiritually uplifting service.

Jammies ‘N Jeans Shabbat
Cozy up with your family on a blanket as we welcome Shabbat in a warm, kid-friendly Friday evening service. Kids love padding about in their PJs as they say the brachot with Dale and our rabbis, and you’ll love not having to cook! A light kid-friendly dinner is provided, free of charge to all who RSVP. So slip on your jeans and get your kids in their feeties for our unique Shabbat experience. We meet at 5:45 p.m. the first Friday of every month from October – March.
Shabbat in the Park
Pack a picnic basket and join our fun and casual family-friendly Friday evening services. We’ll supply the challah and grape juice, Dale will bring the tunes. All you need are some fun-seeking kids, a blanket and your own picnic dinner (kosher-style, please.) We meet at Holmby Park at 5:45 p.m., the first Friday of every month from April - September. Children, parents, grandparents, friends – even well-behaved puppies – can join together to usher in Shabbat amid the trees and swingsets!
