EMPLOYEE: Facility Manager

Position Summary:
Sinai Temple is seeking an experienced and driven facility manager who will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and strategizing the long-term sustainability of Sinai Temple’s properties, including our 154,000 square foot facility, originally built in 1960, three apartment buildings (total: 17 units), and one house. This individual will develop and maintain building and equipment preventative maintenance schedules for the long-term health of all systems in all properties, including but not limited to heating, ventilation, plumbing, air-conditioning, lighting, fire safety, elevators, etc. This position requires critical thinking skills and resourcefulness to ensure long term safety and function of our systems. This individual must have the ability to exercise independent judgement and define problems, formulate, and implement solutions.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Identify potential areas of risk related to all properties owned by Sinai Temple (5).
• Prioritize, research, and implement annual facility improvement projects to mitigate risk.
• Monitor and maintain all significant systems.
• Coordinate and act as project manager on multiple maintenance projects, including renovations and upkeep.
• Schedule inspections and emergency repairs with external vendors.
• Prepare the facility for changing weather conditions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes and industry standards.
• Ensure compliances with all requirements related to fire safety, ADA accessibility, energy efficiency, etc.
• Integrate technology relevant to facility’s needs.
• Create and monitor budget for facility’s needs.
• Perform monthly building walkthroughs and appropriate inspections as directed by leadership.
Qualifications:
• Have experience as a Facility Manager or a similar role
• A high school diploma and a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, facilities management or any related field.
• At least five years of leadership experience in facility maintenance.
• A strong understanding of electrical systems, HVAC systems, roofing needs, carpentry and various mechanical and architectural systems.
• Problem solving mindset
SALARY & BENEFITS: Compensation commensurate with experience. Range: $120,000-$130,000
